It’s been really a while since I’ve last posted something to my blog. In all this time many things occured. After almost 4 years of my activity at the research institute of Fraunhofer (ISST in Dortmund), I changed the place of my work. Now I am at GeoMobile, a very young compony which is only 1 week old

VoilĂ ! Today I found a regional newspaper article about our last ERIGG test in a little German town Barlo, situated near the dutch boarder. ERIGG is large project comprising an online tour planning and a navigation system for bicycle tourists and involving the cooperation of our research institute (Fraunhofer ISST in Dortmund), University of Bonn, GDS GeoDatenService GmbH and Stadtmarketing-Gesellschaft Bocholt. In the USA alibi-agencies exist already for a long time. In Europe they are quite new. Kleinezeitung reports about two online alibi agencies a french one alibila.com and a swiss one alibi-beton.com. Meet Trackstick! It’s one more funny GPS device with a very little range of features. It looks like usb memory stick and has almost the same size. Trackstick is desiged to be used with Google-Earth. The only thing it can do is just to write down a GPS track and save it as gpx file which can be later watched in Google Earth environment on your computer. So what? Read the rest of this entry »

The first bells are already tolling! The time of mobile ad-hoc networks is coming. The Austrian online newspaper Kleine Zeitung reports about a Swedish compony TerraNet that currently works hard on practical realisation of Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN).
