Trimble Nomad Handheld.

Today I had a pleasure to test Trimble Nomad handheld. What a great device! Well, maybe not for every day life and not for a usual user, for its size reminds a one more on a yellow brick than on a pocket pc. And the toy is not that chip, its prise varies between 1,500$ and 2500$… But it’s a real dream for a software developer! 806 MHz processor, 128 RAM, 480×640 resolution, isn’t it great?

Our new Startup. GeoMobile.

It’s been really a while since I’ve last posted something to my blog. In all this time many things occured. After almost 4 years of my activity at the research institute of Fraunhofer (ISST in Dortmund), I changed the place of my work. Now I am at GeoMobile, a very young compony which is only 1 week old :) Our compony counts three men. I say “our” because we are partners and participators. What shall we do? (more…)

ERIGG. The First Success.

VoilĂ ! Today I found a regional newspaper article about our last ERIGG test in a little German town Barlo, situated near the dutch boarder. ERIGG is large project comprising an online tour planning and a navigation system for bicycle tourists and involving the cooperation of our research institute (Fraunhofer ISST in Dortmund), University of Bonn, GDS GeoDatenService GmbH and Stadtmarketing-Gesellschaft Bocholt. .EU Domain Name for 1 Euro.

Tomorrow(the 30-th of June) is the last day when you can register an .EU-Domain name at United-Domains just for 1 Euro. It is allowed to register only 10 Domains per person. There are about 2,6 million .eu domain names at the current moment. In comparison to other domains the chance to find a good domain name is very high. Hurry up!
