The Virtual Cemetery of “LA Times”.
If I had to award a prize for the most cynical Mashup of the year, Los Angeles Time would be my favourite. On the Homicide Map these guys show the victims with their photos and the places in Los Angeles where the people were murdered. To make the thing more funny, they realized a filter and the visitors can sort out the victims by their age, race, gender and other parameters.
I don’t know, maybe the american mentality finds such projects informative and useful, but for healthy psychic sensitivity of a human beeing it’s unacceptable. How might the reletives of the victims feel, contemplating the photos of the beloved people on the victim map? what for is this virtual cemetery?
