Simply Twitter, simply funny!
I can’t help admiring such web projects as Twitter! When I see “A global community of friends and strangers answering one simple question: What are you doing?” I just jump up like a ball and start to applaud loudly. Such a simple idea that gave a birth to a web platform gathering a huge amount of people raises an admiration and respect in a human soul.
As you already understood Twitter is a social network realized in the best traditions of Web 2.0. Being a registered user you can post the description of your current occupation. As a slave of computer scince I have often situations when I sit several minutes in front of my display and wait for compiler till it ends its work. In order to fulfill these minutes of my life with fun and joy I could imagine myself as a Twitter fan. Twitter offers also a number of features that support the social character of the platform: buddy list, private messages and followers list (people who were invited by you). There is an opportunity to send messages and posts via sms or IM.
